Finally.....a sigh of relief? or a sense of danger ahead?

Figured its been long since I last wrote here and hey, what else to write about when you have the biggest breaking news sweeping across the world...." Osama Bin Laden is Dead!!!!!!!"
Isn't it funny when we, as a people, thrive on news feed as huge as the one above and soon, after it becomes stale move on to yet another one..What I mean to say here is that almost a decade has passed since 9/11 and well, we are still living!! lol..As in, that for the first few months(since 2001) or say a year or two, you would keep seeing Osama (photographs/videos) who slowly got relegated from front page news to um, well, a snippet..And lo! Here we are in 2011-year starts off with revolutions in Egypt and Tunisia, moves on to scams enveloping our country, crises in the Middle East and in certain countries in Africa and finally the dynamite! Boom! Osama Dead!
The timing of such events seems uncanny at times! Just 2 days back you had the American President Barack Obama in a jolly mood, donning the joker's hat at the White House Correspondents' Association annual Dinner. Who knew that at the same time, an operation was being given the go-ahead by Obama himself to exterminate(if I may say so!) the dreaded/most wanted (acc to Forbes list) "terrorist" in the world- Osama Bin Laden.
In the end, (I hope I don't get beaten up for writing this!) Osama accomplished what he had started,"mass murder" which according to him had "exceeded his expectations" (statement made by Osama after the "success" of 9/11). So does this "death" of Bin Laden herald a new era of "jihadists" or spell doom for the already beleaguered and scattered terror outfits who would be running like headless chickens now...? One doesn' know, until, of course we have another Booom! a rude wake up call to the people of the world, that evil (I use the term loosely here), still resides/ is planted in the minds of a "brainwashed"(eg: recent suicide bomb attack in Afghanistan carried out by a 12yr old!) few.

Sure enough, no prizes for guessing what tomorrow's newspapers will be flashing on their front pages and that would go on for say, a week?!! And then its back to business as usual, wait, what did you say? Oh did you know that the Arunachal chief minister hasn't been traced as yet? Arunachal? oh yea, well, Osama getting killed was more "hot damn", wasn't it?! So lets all forget the Air India strikes, the questionings in the 2G scams, elections in a few states, Lokpal bill deliberations, IPL!!!! etc etc...and focus our artillery on attacking Pakistan with a barrage of questions/ accusations on being a "safe haven" for people like Laden, lets bring 26/11 again into the picture (after all this is the moment when Pakistan  would be at its defensive worst!), boom boom bommm!!! Phew! [The above statements made are not the author's personal views but rather a predictable sequence of events] (which you may be free to agree or disagree) over the coming days...Mind you, there will be an equal amount of yellow journalism too...Beware!

End.
